Uganda Debt Network (UDN) in partnership with the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) held   the Third African Conference on Debt and Development (AFCoDD III) on prudent development financing options for Uganda through Reimagining, Rethinking, Reorganizing, and Remobilizing the Global Financing Architecture. The Conference provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss alternative policy options including, reforms to the global financial architecture that governs public debt; Public Debt sustainability and redemption vis a vis expenditure on social protection amidst challenges like climate change; Enhancing Domestic Revenue Mobilization and closing financial leakages through addressing illicit financial flows, unnecessary tax expenditure among others.
