Uganda's approach to financing its development projects has predominantly relied on loans, with a significant share comprising concessional loans from multilateral lenders. Among these lenders, the World Bank has been a major contributor, accounting for 29% of the total, followed by the IMF (16%), AFDB (14%), and IDB (10%). However, a significant shift occurred when the World Bank announced its decision to halt future funding for Ugandan projects.
