MEDIA AND PUBLICATIONS
UDN enjoys substantial media attention in
various national and international media because of its timely and
credible response to topical policy issues both on the national and
international arena.
UDN publishes a monthly Policy Review
Newsletter (PRN) which provides a critical analysis of various government
policies and provides recommendations for improvement of those policies.
In Uganda's leading dailies, The New Vision and The Daily Monitor, UDN and its
staff regularly publish statements challenging government rationality of
proposed actions and laws and constantly question government planned
expenditure.
Supporting its media publicity work, UDN works with a
number of community radios, sponsoring talk shows that discuss issues of
corruption and service delivery of various government services such as
health, sanitation, education and transportation.
UDN facilitates
participatory monitoring by publishing pocket versions of government
acts and laws to increase ordinary peoples understanding of how various
laws affect them.
