Uganda Debt Network launched a pilot of the Community Based Monitoring and Evaluation System (CBMES) in the district to involve grassroots people in monitoring poverty reduction programmes and performance of government expenditure in service delivery.

The programme is operational in the sub-counties of Namutumba Rural, Namutumba Urban and Nsinze.
