Key findings

Universal Primary Education: High rate of school dropout and high rate of teacher absenteeism in schools

 

Primary Healthcare: Health centres do not display income and expenditure of funds received

 

Water and Sanitation: Water management committees are not active and most boreholes are not operational

The Community Based Monitoring and Evaluation System was launched in the district in October 2007 to enable grassroots’ people in monitoring poverty reduction programmes and performance of government expenditure in service delivery.
The monitoring was piloted in three sub-counties of Namugongo, Nawaikoke and Town Council.
